Across the globe people bring in the New Year with either a bean or lentil soup. Many believe the lentils resemble money. Eating them at the start of the year will help ensure prosperous months to follow.
Other than tasting really good in the various soup recipes, lentils are amazingly good for you. They are full of vitamins and minerals, high in fiber and protein. Not only would they be good for body builders they would be great for people that have reduced carbohydrates in their diets. Vegans love them because it adds dimension to a variety of dishes.
Because Lentils have the ability to absorb a great amount of flavors from broths and vegetables, you can prepare them as a soup or tasty dip. Check out these recipes.

There was a sea of orange and brown downtown in the parking lots surrounding the stadium. The air was cold, but the mood was good, everyone was ready for a good matchup. No one, however was ready for the game that gave us the seventh disappointing loss of the season. Some could even argue that we did not even show up to play on our own field.
The game almost…made me consider becoming a fan of another football team. (ok maybe not). But I was angry. I was mad because of all of the fans that come week after week, remaining excited about the season, got nothing. All of the hype for the 2008 season was officially over. The magic and luck that we’d seen in recent weeks, fizzled.
